For 4 years the SceneScope has been the cutting edge of latent fingerprint detection technology. First marketed by SPEX in 1997, the SceneScope has been sold to dozens of U.S. law enforcement agencies at all levels. It has been sold worldwide to most national Police Agencies.

Don't be fooled by cheap imitations, insist on the SceneScope brand of UV Imagers.

SCENESCOPE RUVIS

The SceneScope Imager uses intensified UV reflectance instead of fluorescence as in Forensic Light Sources. The System can detect fingerprints on most non-porous surfaces prior to any treatment or after a cyanoacrylate (Superglue) fuming. Fuming is required when preliminary examination yields no results.

The complete system includes all components for Crime Scene Search and Laboratory work first allowing the fingerprint specialists or crime scene investigators to conduct a video examination using Custom Head-Mounted Displays for UV protection and hands-free operation), and second, UV reflectance photography. Each SceneScope is calibrated for 1:1 photography and is compatible with any user-provided 35mm camera fitted with a 50mm focal length lens [52mm dia.].

The SceneScope has made possible the detection and photography of untreated latent prints and C.A. fumed prints in ROOM LIGHTS and OUTDOOR. It includes rugged components that are portable and battery powered allowing for 8-10 hours of work without recharge.

The custom quartz optics let the fingerprint specialist scan a large area for latents and then "zoom-in" on a print to get exceptional ridge details. Lenses are available in 60, 80, and 105mm sizes.

When working in the laboratory, the output of the control box can be connected directly to a monitor and/or computer system (such as the C.D.I.S.) for direct image acquisition or to a video printer for fast and convenient enlarged printouts.

The Complete SceneScope package includes a range of components such as 3 rechargeable batteries, UV lamps (4 types), power supply and control box, special high resolution head-mounted displays, CCD with optical interface, exclusive UV optics, 4 high quality interference filters, photo-camera adapter, face shields for each different examination mode, contrast shield, laboratory foldable shields, handle, laser pointer, tripod with reversible head, shoulder strap, various cables, flexible arm and clamps, rugged carrying/shipping case with pull-out handle and wheels.

The Very Affordable Basic SceneScope includes 1 rechargeable batteries, 1 UV lamp, exclusive UV optics, 1 high quality interference filter, photo-camera adapter, face shields for each different examination mode, handle, laser pointer, Quad Pod stand, rugged carrying/shipping case. This unit is capable of direct viewing and photographic documentation of the evidence.

SCENEGRABBER

Ultra High Resolution Scene Grabber for use with either of the above SceneScopes. Allows for the direct imaging of the evidence onto film. Enables UV photography in real time, no more guess work when focusing. Results in Ultra High Resolution on UV sensitive film. Far exceeds the resolution of conventional RUVIS devices. Also allows for the photography of Palm images.

The resolution of other devices does not come close to this technique, which is also the only one offering the simultaneous viewing of the prints while focusing, adjusting lighting.
