applications of our forensic products.
Fluorescence
(Ultraviolet, various visible wavelengths, Infrared),
Reflectance, Absorption used for:
Latent fingerprints identification, Crime Scene search and
evidence
collection, Forensic photography and imaging, forged/questioned
documents, counterfeit, biology ( detection of semen, blood,
saliva,
vaginal fluids, sweat…), footprint, gun shot residues,
bruises,
bite marks, fibers and hair, bone fragments.
Our Forensic light sources and
instruments (CrimeScope,
Mini-CrimeScope, SceneScope (Ruvis), SCIS) are manufactured
in Edison, NJ, USA by SPEX.
We now offer a new low cost AFIS
(Automated Fingerprint
Identification System) for desktop, PrintQuestTM,
with latent print station.
SPEX forensic instruments are used
by law enforcement agencies
such as federal (FBI or National Police), state, county and city
police.
There are hundreds of SPEX forensic light source users around
the world. Note:

Although the following companies are offering a large scale AFIS
solution
(Automated Fingerprint Identification System, Automatic
Fingerprint
Identification System, Automated Palmprint Identification
System,
with FBI certified Palm-print scanner, palmprint scanner,
livescan, live-scan,
from DBI (Digital Biometrics Inc), Printrak, Jena, ITI, Identix),
the concept is the the same as with our Desktop AFIS , but on
a different scale: Sagem Morpho, Printrak, NEC. Our
instruments are used in
combination with cyanoacrylate (superglue) fuming, basic yellow,
rhodamine,
ardrox, safranine, DFO, fluorescent powders. Other fields of use
in foreign

identite, empreinte,
papillaire, sperme, sang,Luz, forenses, fontes, impressoes,
